The Prince of the Pin Elves

What if every lost pin in the world was collected by someone? Charles Lee Sleight answers that question with a charmingly oddbit of 19th-century imagination. Young Harry stumbles into the secret world of the Pin Elves, tiny folk who dwell underground and spend their days gathering the lost pins of the human world. Guided by the elf named Wamby and armed with an invisibility-granting hat, Harry descends into an enchanting subterranean society where he meets the Prince of the Pin Elves and discovers the peculiar traditions and duties of these industrious creatures. But adventure calls, and soon Harry must prove his bravery against forces that threaten the elf kingdom. Written in 1897, this is delightful, unhurried children's fantasy at its most whimsical: a world where lost things go, where small acts matter, and where a curious boy can become a hero simply by being brave enough to look where others don't.
