The Pony Rider Boys in Alaska; Or, The Gold Diggers of Taku Pass
The Pony Rider Boys in Alaska; Or, The Gold Diggers of Taku Pass
Alaska, 1900s. A group of young adventurers called the Pony Rider Boys board the steamer Corsair, bound for the frozen frontier and the legend of Taku Pass, where a secretive crew of prospectors known as the Gold Diggers have struck something worth killing for. When protagonist Tad Butler learns of these mysterious miners and their hidden cache, the race is on through untamed wilderness, treacherous mountain passes, and a cast of characters who may not be what they seem. The Gold Diggers are skittish, the stakes are deadly, and trust is a currency in short supply. What begins as a lark of youthful exploration becomes a test of nerve, loyalty, and survival against men who have already proven they'll do anything to protect their secret. This is old-fashioned adventure fiction at its core: boys being bold, the wilderness being cruel, and fortune waiting for whoever dares to reach it first.
