The Blue Grass Seminary Girls on the Wateror, Exciting Adventures on a Summer Cruise Through the Panama Canal

In 1914, two seminary girls with restless spirits and their doting fathers set sail on the adventure of a lifetime: a summer cruise through the newly completed Panama Canal. Shirley Willing and her inseparable friend Mabel Ashton have spent their school years dreaming of excitement beyond the classroom, and when they finally board ship, they find more than they bargained for. A dashing young reporter named Dick Stanley convinces the party to let him along, and suddenly the voyage through tropical waters becomes charged with romantic tension and daring escapades. From childhood reminiscences shared on deck to unexpected dangers in foreign ports, this is a story about two young women claiming their right to adventure in an era when such things were still unusual for girls. The novel captures a moment in history when the world seemed vast and full of possibility, and two friends discover that the greatest journey is the one that changes you forever. Perfect for readers who love vintage adventure stories with plenty of charm and a touch of youthful romance.
