Tempest

William Davenant and John Dryden's Restoration adaptation of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' preserves the original plot and characters while introducing new elements. Written in the 17th century, this version features Prospero, the former Duke of Milan, seeking revenge on his usurping brother Antonio, aided by the spirit Ariel and opposed by the monster Caliban.
