Silver Horde
1909. The Alaskan frontier. A gold miner down on his luck discovers that the real fortune isn't in the mountains at all, but in the silver flash of salmon crowding the rivers of Bristol Bay. He stakes his claim not in gold, but in a cannery and the promise of the silver horde. But the salmon trust controls everything. They undercut his financing, sabotage his equipment, incite riots among his workers, and bribe his fishermen to abandon him. This is corporate warfare on an isolated frontier, where one man with conviction must face a monopoly that has bought every official in sight. The personal stakes burn as hot as the professional ones. He must choose between his polished fiancée, the banker's daughter who represents respectability and old money, and a roadhouse operator whose strength and honesty shame the society women. In the frozen wilderness, economic battles and romantic tensions collide with raw, elemental power.
