Schatz is a fairy tale novella by Eduard Mörike, published in the 19th century. The story follows Franz Arbogast, a goldsmith's apprentice who receives a mysterious book of life rules for Easter children on his confirmation. After losing his money under strange circumstances, the book advises him not to pursue it, as he will soon recover it. His journey leads him to a castle haunted by a spirit that can only be freed by an Easter child, where he encounters wondrous events.
