Robin Hood

Robin Hood
He was once a nobleman. Now he is an outlaw, hiding in Sherwood Forest with a price on his head and a bow in his hand. Robin Hood, stripped of his lands and titles by the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham, gathers around him a band of Merry Men: the towering Little John, the roguish Will Scarlet, the steadfast Friar Tuck, and others who have also fallen foul of a system designed to crush the weak. Together they live by their own law: steal from the rich who grow fat while the poor starve, and give the gains to those who need it most. The Sheriff tighten his grip. Prince John plunders the kingdom while Richard is away at crusade. And Robin waits, arrow notched, for the moment to strike. But this is more than adventure. It is the story of what happens when ordinary people decide the law is not enough, when injustice becomes so egregious that only rebellion remains. The green cloak of the Merry Men became the most enduring symbol of resistance in English literature.
