Raw Men

Dick Walton has never gone hungry. Never known cold that could kill. The son of privilege, he's been sent aboard a trading schooner to experience something "character-building" in the Arctic - a wealthy man's idea of adventure. When the ice crushes the ship and kills everyone but Walton and his Eskimo companion, the young man faces a truth his comfortable upbringing never taught him: survival isn't about the code of civilization, it's about what you're willing to give up. The experienced hunter shares his food, his knowledge, his warmth - then makes a choice that shatters every assumption Walton carried about himself and his world. In the endless white, two men from opposite ends of civilization's spectrum must depend on each other, and Walton discovers that humanity isn't measured by culture or comfort - it's measured in sacrifice. This Arctic survival tale cuts deep into the collision between privilege and instinct, between what we're taught and what we truly are.
