Plain Tales of the North

Plain Tales of the North, published in 1925 by Thierry Mallet, is a collection of short stories that captures life in the Arctic regions. The narratives explore the experiences and traditions of the inhabitants, including encounters with nature and wildlife, while reflecting on themes of isolation and survival. The collection begins with a poignant tale of a grave in Saskatchewan, setting the tone for the evocative stories that highlight the harsh realities and deep connections between the land and its people.
