Momentum
1951
Momentum is a science fiction novella by Charles Dye, first published in 1951. The story follows Ballard and Walton, two men working on an asteroid to install navigational equipment, who face a deadly confrontation fueled by greed and betrayal. As Walton plots to kill Ballard for valuable rotenite nuggets, Ballard must use his ingenuity to survive and thwart Walton's plans. The novella explores themes of survival and moral conflict in the harsh environment of space exploration.
