Man-Eaters of Tsavo

Man-Eaters of Tsavo
Written in 1907, 'Man-Eaters of Tsavo' is an autobiographical account by Lt. Col. J.H. Patterson, detailing his experiences while constructing a bridge for the Uganda Railway in 1898. The narrative centers on the terrifying attacks by two male lions that killed and consumed numerous railway workers. Patterson's hunt for these man-eaters not only highlights the dangers of colonial engineering projects but also provides insight into the wildlife of East Africa. The book inspired the 1996 film 'The Ghost and the Darkness.'
