Journal of Julius Rodman
The Journal of Julius Rodman is an unfinished serial novel by Edgar Allan Poe, published in 1840. It recounts the first passage across the Rocky Mountains by civilized man, presented in six installments in Burton's Gentleman's Magazine. The work is notable for its exploration of adventure and the American frontier, reflecting Poe's interest in the themes of exploration and the unknown. Poe's tenure as a contributing editor of the magazine ended shortly after the publication of this work, leading to its abrupt cessation.
