Happy House

Happy House, written by Jane Abbott in the early 20th century, follows Anne Leavitt, a recent college graduate, as she navigates significant life changes. After receiving an unexpected invitation from a distant great-aunt to visit her ancestral home on North Hero Island, Anne's journey unfolds with themes of family legacies, identity, and the complexities of relationships. The narrative explores how an old family quarrel is resolved through misunderstandings, ultimately transforming the homestead into a place of happiness and belonging.
