Green Fire: A Romance

Green Fire is a dream woven from mist and moonlight. Set in the mythic landscape of Brittany, where ancient Celtic spirits still walk the shores and hollow hills, this is a love story between Alan de Kerival, a poet returned from wandering, and his cousin Ynys, a woman who seems less like flesh and blood than the living spirit of the landscape itself. Theirs is a passion bound up with the old magic of the land, the old griefs and secrets of their family, and the weight of inherited blood. When Alan arrives at his ancestral home in spring, he finds his love for Ynys complicated by the presence of another cousin, Annaik, and by the dark currents running beneath the Kerival family's genteel surface. The supernatural threads woven through their forbidden longing suggest their passion carries consequences beyond the merely personal. This is Celtic Twilight at its most seductive: love as legend, landscape as soul, and desire as old as the stones of Brittany.
