Friendly Terrace Quartette (or Peggy Raymond At The Poplars)
It's 1917, and the boys Peggy Raymond and her friends have known since childhood are heading off to fight in the Great War. The girls can't enlist, but they can do something just as vital: join the Land Army and fill the劳动力 gap left by departing men. Peggy, Priscilla, and Amy trade their everyday lives for the rough work of agricultural labor at a farm called The Poplars. Ruth, whose delicate health keeps her from joining them, finds her own way to contribute back on Friendly Terrace. Together, the four friends discover that doing your part during wartime means more than just missing the boys you grew up with, it means finding strength you didn't know you had, making unexpected friends, and learning what it really means to stand by the people you love when the world is changing faster than anyone expected.
