Faerie Queene Books 6 & 7
The Faerie Queene, written by Edmund Spenser in the late 16th century, is an epic poem celebrating the virtues of knights and the Elizabethan era. Books 6 and 7 include the Legend of Sir Calidore, which focuses on the theme of courtesy, and the Mutabilitie Cantos, a fragment exploring the nature of change. Although the poem was never completed, it is regarded as one of the most significant works of English literature, reflecting the ideals of the time and dedicated to Queen Elizabeth I. Spenser's work is notable for its intricate allegory and rich imagery.
