Everest

A science fiction short story written by Isaac Asimov in a single sitting at the Chicago editorial offices of Universe Science Fiction in April 1953. First published in the December 1953 issue of Universe Science Fiction, it was later reprinted in the 1975 collection Buy Jupiter and Other Stories. The story exemplifies Asimov's characteristic blend of scientific speculation and human drama, exploring themes of human ambition and the limits of exploration through its narrative.
