Double Challenge

Written in the late 1950s by Jim Kjelgaard, 'Double Challenge' follows Ted Harkness, a young man passionate about hunting and wilderness life in the Black Hills. The story explores Ted's ambition to run a hunting camp while navigating the pressures from his father and the moral dilemmas posed by his employer, who urges him to hunt illegally. Featuring Ted's loyal collie, Tammie, and based on Kjelgaard's own experiences with deer, the novel delves into themes of integrity, ambition, and the complexities of human relationships in a natural setting.
