Cenci
Cenci is a tragedy written by Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1819, based on the true story of Beatrice Cenci, who murdered her abusive father, Count Francesco Cenci, in Rome in 1599. The play explores controversial themes of incest and parricide, which delayed its staging for over a century.
