In 1924, radio pioneer Myles Cabot believes he can transmit matter the way he transmits voices. His Boston experiment works all too well: a surge of electromagnetic fury tears him from Earth and lands him on Venus, a world of steaming jungles, carnivorous flora, and civilizations beyond human imagination. He awakens among the Cupians, a gentle winged people enslaved by the Ant-Men, a militaristic race of giant insects who rule this planet with cold precision. As a human with knowledge no Venusian possesses, Myles becomes the most dangerous variable in a fragile political order. When Princess Lilla captures his heart, survival gives way to something more dangerous: hope, and the possibility of rebellion. Written with the raw exuberance of early pulp adventure, this is planetary romance before the genre had rules, a wild ride through alien landscapes that feels like discovering a lost artifact of pure, undiluted imagination.
