Alien Offer

The aliens arrive with an offer that sounds like salvation. A catastrophe looms. One hundred thousand children will be taken to safety aboard the trading fleet of Commander Aku. What parent could refuse? What general could decide which children live? But General James Rothwell sees what others do not. The Eleele are not saviors. Their rescue is a harvest, and Earths children are cargo. When his own son is chosen, Rothwell must race against time and his own government to expose the truth before the fleet departs with its human prize. Sevcik writes with the anxious energy of 1950s America, when the sky itself seemed hostile and every headline promised the end of the world. Alien Offer is paranoid science fiction wrapped in a parents worst fear. It is for readers who want their sci-fi served cold, with invisible threats and impossible choices.
