A Critical Examination of Socialism

A Critical Examination of Socialism, written by W. H. Mallock in the early 20th century, critiques the principles of socialism, particularly those of Karl Marx. Mallock argues that socialism lacks practical application and highlights theoretical flaws regarding wealth production and labor's role. The book originated from a series of lectures commissioned by the Civic Federation of New York, providing a historical overview of socialism and contrasting it with capitalism's proven effectiveness. Mallock's analysis positions socialism as a theoretical proposition rather than a viable economic system.
