Donald Trump

Donald Trump was an American businessman, media personality, and politician who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Born into a wealthy family in New York City, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in economics and took over his family's real estate business in 1971, renaming it The Trump Organization. Under his leadership, the company expanded its portfolio to include skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses, although he faced significant financial challenges, including six business bankruptcies in the 1990s and 2000s. Trump's foray into reality television as the host of The Apprentice from 2004 to 2015 further solidified his public persona as a billionaire and entrepreneur. In 2016, Trump emerged as a political outsider and won the presidency against Hillary Clinton, leveraging his celebrity status and a populist message that appealed to many voters disillusioned with traditional politics. His presidency was marked by significant controversy, including his approach to immigration, trade, and foreign relations, as well as his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump's impact on American politics and culture continues to be a subject of debate, as he reshaped the Republican Party and influenced the political landscape in ways that will likely be felt for years to come.
