Where There's a Will (Dramatic Reading)

Where There's a Will (Dramatic Reading)

Mary Roberts Rinehart

The setup is irresistibly absurd: a health resort left to a nowhere grandson by a dead man's will, and it's up to the capable Minnie Waters to save the family business while jumping through the legal hoops left by her father's eccentric decree. Mary Roberts Rinehart, the mistress of mystery, swaps her usual darkness for pure comic chaos. Minnie recruits a troupe of actors to pose as various relatives and heirs, the will demands ridiculous conditions, and everywhere there's deception, mistaken identities, and the ever-present threat of losing Hope Springs forever. Yet beneath the farce lies something warmer: a story about a woman ingenuity, about holding family together when the world is pulling it apart, and yes, about finding love in the most improbable circumstances. It's Rinehart letting her hair down, and the result is wildly entertaining.
