Western Boundary, and Other Essays

Western Boundary, and Other Essays is a collection of works by Helmuth von Moltke, published in the early 1840s. The titular essay, originally published in 1841, critiques Franco-German relations and counters French narratives following the fall of the Roman Empire. Other notable essays include 'Holland and Belgium in their Mutual Relations,' addressing the impact of the 1830 French Revolution, and 'Considerations in the Choice of Railway Routes,' an early analysis of railway systems crucial for military strategy. These essays reflect Moltke's insights into geopolitics and infrastructure during a transformative period in Europe.
