We're Off to Mars!

Joe Linger is an ordinary young man living an ordinary life until a package arrives from an unexpected source: a time-traveling delivery service from the future. Inside is a robot that can create anything Joe desires. Suddenly, the limits of his imagination become the only limits to his new reality. But desire is a tricky thing, and wanting isn't the same as needing, or deserving. As Joe's wishes spiral outward, he discovers that getting everything you ever wanted might be the most dangerous situation of all. Written in the optimistic, wide-eyed style of 1950s Golden Age science fiction, this novella plays like a cosmic fable: part adventure, part cautionary tale about the weight of choice and the strange mathematics of fulfillment.
