Top o' the World: A Once Upon a Time Tale

What if you could wish away your childhood? Maida, a restless young girl tired of being small, embarks on a journey to the North Pole where she discovers a magical Wishing Post that might grant her deepest desire. But the whimsical characters she encounters along the way, and the adventures that unfold, teach her something far more valuable than growing up: what it truly means to be content with who you are. This early 20th century children's fantasy captures the universal longing of youth to become "grown up" while reminding readers that the magic of childhood is precious and fleeting. Through Maida's encounters at the top of the world, Swan weaves a tender story about the passage of time, the value of imagination, and the wisdom that comes from appreciating the present moment. Perfect for young readers who cherish whimsical adventures with heartfelt life lessons.
