To Sup With the Devil

Two old friends, Henry and George, reunite under ominous circumstances in this lean, atmospheric tale of moral compromise. When George arrives at Henry's door seeking help, the visit awakens something dark between them, a reckoning that has waited years to surface. The story unfolds through their uneasy conversation, each man forced to confront the bargain he once made and the price others paid for his choices. Scholnick writes with terse intensity, building dread through what's left unsaid, as the devil of the title proves to be less a supernatural entity than the corruption men carry within themselves. The finale carries the weight of irreversible decisions, leaving both men changed by what they cannot undo.
