The Odyssey
Homer's foundational epic plunges us into the tumultuous, decade-long journey of Odysseus, the wily hero of the Trojan War, as he strives to return to his kingdom of Ithaca. Having incurred the wrath of Poseidon, Odysseus navigates a treacherous Mediterranean fraught with mythical monsters—from the enchanting Sirens and the one-eyed Cyclops to the formidable Scylla and Charybdis—and encounters powerful sorceresses and gods. Meanwhile, back in Ithaca, his loyal wife Penelope fends off a horde of arrogant suitors vying for her hand and Odysseus's throne, all while their son Telemachus embarks on his own quest for news of his father.
