The Mirror of Alchimy

The Mirror of Alchimy, originally known as Speculum Alchemiae, is a significant alchemical manual attributed to Roger Bacon, first published in 1597. This work blends philosophical insights with practical instructions, focusing on the transformation of base metals into gold and the pursuit of the philosopher's stone. It serves as a guide for practitioners, detailing key concepts, processes, and the allegorical connections between alchemy, nature, and art. Notably, it was the second alchemical text printed in English, marking an important moment in the history of occult literature.
