The Magical Land of Noom
Two children, a flying machine built from scraps, and a destination beyond the moon. When Johnny and Janey launch their homemade contraption, they expect nothing more than a few seconds of fun. Instead, they soar into the night sky and land in Noom, a kingdom of impossible delights where mushrooms taste of ginger cake and springs flow with lemonade. But paradise has a problem: the wicked magician Old Jingles has kidnapped the Princess of Nite, and the children must rally strange new friends including a Soft-Voiced Cow and the irrepressible Mr. Tiptoe to rescue her. This is old-fashioned adventure at its finest, full of wonder and gentle courage. Johnny Gruelle, the creator of Raggedy Ann, brings the same warmth and imagination to Noom that has enchanted generations of young readers.
