The Hunters
Two alien researchers arrive on Earth with a simple mission: study humanity by becoming it. Posing as humans, they embed themselves in a zoo, observing human behavior with clinical detachment. But their clinical study takes an unexpected turn when they befriend a group of children, and their paths collide with Curt George, a famed actor and hunter wrestling with his own demons, alcoholism, disillusionment, a life built on killing. When a stage performance spirals out of control and the aliens' true forms are suddenly exposed, the consequences force everyone to confront uncomfortable questions: What makes a monster? What makes a hero? Can understanding ever replace acceptance? This strange, tender 1950s gem uses science fiction to ask what humanity actually looks like to those watching from outside, and whether the observers might be more human than the humans they're studying.
