The House of Rimmon: A Drama in Four Acts
A powerful biblical drama set in ancient Damascus, where a mighty warrior falls from grace and must choose between his honor and his soul. Naaman, captain of the Syrian army, is struck with leprosy after defying the corrupt priesthood of Rimmon, the god of Damascus. Disgraced and desperate, he clings to a fragile hope: a captive Hebrew maid named Ruahmah speaks of a prophet in Israel who can heal. Against the warnings of his household and the fury of the temple, Naaman journeys northward, led by the woman who loves him but whom he cannot yet free. The play builds to a confrontation between faith and tyranny, as Naaman must ultimately choose whether to bow to Rimmon's false gods or embrace the radical God of Israel who asks not for blood but for humility. Along the way, betrayal blooms in his own house, love is tested, and the true meaning of worship is revealed.
