The Honorable Percival

The Honorable Percival, written by Alice Caldwell Hegan Rice in the early 20th century, follows Percival Hascombe, a young English aristocrat who, after being jilted by his fiancée, seeks refuge in America and Asia. The novel explores themes of love, identity, and social class as Percival embarks on a transformative journey aboard a Pacific liner, where he encounters various characters, particularly an American girl named Bobby Boynton. Their interactions challenge his aloof demeanor and alter his perspective on life and love.
