The Cornish Fishermen's Watch-Night, and Other Stories

The Cornish Fishermen's Watch-Night, and Other Stories is a collection of moral and religious tales published in 1879, likely written by an anonymous author. Set in the Cornish village of Penwhinnock, the stories focus on the lives of fishermen, exploring themes of sin, redemption, and the impact of faith. The opening tale introduces Mr. Ernest Boyce, a minister striving to guide the lawless fishermen towards virtue amidst their illicit activities, highlighting the tension between their struggles and the moral dilemmas they face.
