Space Prison
Two hundred years ago, humanity was stranded on a hellish world called Ragnarok. The Gern Empire left them there to rot, and to hunt. What began as a desperate colony ship crash has become something else entirely: a slow, deliberate extermination dressed as sport. The descendants of the original settlers have devolved into savage, primitive warriors, fighting for survival in a landscape that has stripped away everything but the instinct to live. Humbolt is the spark that could change everything. Born into the stockades, raised on stories of the world before, he refuses to wait for the next Gern hunt. The colonists have nothing but bows, arrows, and the terrible patience of the prey. The Gern have starships, blasters, and the absolute certainty that they are the masters of all inferior races. One side hunts for pleasure. The other fights for the right to exist. This is not a story of heroes in shining armor. It is a story of people who have lost everything except the will to survive, and the dangerous hope that maybe, against all odds, they can take back something worth keeping.
