Princess Zara

In 1909, Ross Beeckman introduced Princess Zara de Echeveria, a young noblewoman whose beauty and grace captivate New York society, but whose heart belongs to a dangerous cause. Arriving in the city with an elaborate retinue, Zara carries an air of mystery that quickens pulses and raises whispers. Yet behind the luxurious hotel suites and elegant soirees lies a woman entangled with the nihilist movement, her revolutionary commitments threatening everything her birthright represents. When she meets Alexis Saberevski, an expatriate bearing ties to the Russian Czar, their charged conversation unravels the tension between her hidden allegiances and the consequences of her choices. The novel follows Zara as she navigates a treacherous landscape of political intrigue, torn between her privileged heritage and her dangerous ideals. It is a period piece of its era, romantic, politically charged, and fixated on the drama of a woman whose greatest rebellion may be against herself.
