Piacevoli Notti, Libro 2 is a collection of 74 novellas by Italian author Giovanni Francesco Straparola, published in Venice starting in 1550. Written in the 1550s, the stories are framed as being told over 13 nights by a group gathered in Murano during the Venetian Carnival. This volume includes tales from the 6th to the 13th night and features elements of folklore and fantasy, including magical animals, making it a pioneering work in the fairy tale genre and influencing many subsequent writers.
