Old Hampshire Vignettes

Old Hampshire Vignettes
Old Hampshire Vignettes is a collection of verbal sketches by English writer Mary Elizabeth Hawker, published under the pseudonym Lanoe Falconer. Written in the late 19th century, these vignettes reflect her experiences and observations from her life in the Hampshire Valley. Despite her limited output due to health issues, Hawker's work is notable for its vivid portrayal of the region and its people. She lived from 1848 to 1908 and passed away from tuberculosis, a fate she shared with her brother.
