Oedipus at Colonus (Jebb Translation)
Oedipus at Colonus, written by Sophocles around 406 BC, is the final play in the Theban trilogy. It depicts the last days of Oedipus, who, now blind and exiled, arrives in Colonus with his daughters Antigone and Ismene. The play explores themes of fate, redemption, and the search for peace in the face of suffering. It was produced posthumously in 401 BC by Sophocles' grandson at the Festival of Dionysus.
