Oedipus at Colonus
King Oedipus, blind, exiled, and burdened by a lifetime of unwitting horrors, arrives in the sacred grove of Colonus, a sanctuary near Athens. Accompanied by his steadfast daughter Antigone, he seeks a final resting place, a peaceful end to his tortured existence. Here, he confronts his past, his familial curses, and the divine will that has shaped his tragic destiny, all while grappling with the arrival of his estranged son, Polynices, and the machinations of Creon, who seeks to control Oedipus's powerful, prophetic grave.
