Nine Men in Time
Nine Men in Time is a science fiction short story by Noel M. Loomis, written in the early 1950s. The narrative follows J.J. Shane, a production manager at the Imperial Printing Company, who, facing closure due to poor performance, collaborates with physicist Dr. Hudson to employ time travel and duplication to meet a critical deadline. The plot takes a comedic turn when an employee, High-Pockets Jones, volunteers for duplication, leading to chaotic consequences that raise moral questions about the implications of manipulating time and identity.
