Multilingual Poetry Collection 019
Listen to the world's poetry spoken aloud in its native music. This collection gathers LibriVox volunteers who share their favorite poems in languages ranging from French and German to Russian, Spanish, and beyond. What emerges is something a printed page cannot offer: the sound of verse, the human voice shaping rhythm and breath, the particular music of each tongue. Whether you speak the language or not, these readings reveal poetry as an oral art form first, written second. The volunteers bring genuine devotion to these selections, reading poems that have moved them. Some are famous, others are lesser-known treasures waiting to be discovered. The collection spans centuries and sensibilities, but all share the essential poetry gift: language made to sound like feeling.
