Milk Run

The routine should have been simple. Captain J.B. Henderson and his crew thought they were in for another boring milk run across the stars, deliver the cargo, collect the paycheck, forget the whole thing. But when they encounter the skags, an ancient species that views humans as little more than appetizers, their routine delivery becomes a fight for survival. The humor that permeates the crew's banter turns sharp and desperate as they realize their cargo ship is all that stands between them and becoming the skags' next meal. Locke nails the blue-collar grittiness of space freighters, these aren't heroic explorers, they're working stiffs stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time. The adventure barrels forward with momentum, but what elevates Milk Run is its refusal to take itself too seriously, even when the bodies start piling up.
