Lady Rosamond's Secret: A Romance of Fredericton

The year is 1820s Fredericton, and Lady Rosamond Seymour carries a secret that could shatter her carefully constructed world. Her father has arranged a suitable match, her cousin Gerald Bereford, a man of proper standing and expectations. But Rosamond's heart whispers of something else entirely, something that defies the rigid boundaries of her era's social order. Through her friendship with Mary Douglas, daughter of the colony's Governor, Rosamond finds a window into another kind of life, one where love might be chosen rather than assigned. The prose moves with the unhurried grace of the era it depicts, but beneath its polished surface churns genuine emotional turbulence. What does a woman do when her father's plan for her future collides with her own? Armour crafts a tender meditation on agency, class, and the quiet rebellions that reshape lives from within.
