In Flanders Fields (version 2)

In Flanders Fields is a renowned poem written by Canadian physician and poet John McCrae during World War I in 1915. Inspired by the death of his friend Alexis Helmer at Ypres, McCrae wrote the poem while serving in an ambulance, reflecting on the rapid growth of poppies around the graves of fallen soldiers. The poem has become a significant symbol of remembrance for those who died in the war, highlighting themes of sacrifice and the enduring impact of conflict.
