Howards End (version 3)
Howards End, written by E. M. Forster and published in 1910, is a novel that explores the social conventions of the Edwardian era through the lives of three families in England: the wealthy Wilcoxes, the cultured Schlegel siblings, and the impoverished Basts. The Schlegel sisters, Margaret and Helen, strive to bridge the gap between classes and challenge the prejudices of the affluent Wilcoxes. Noted for its critique of social class and its exploration of human connections, Howards End is regarded as Forster's masterpiece and a significant work of 20th-century literature.
