Hey Ma, Where's Willie?

A rural family in 1952 America faces a mystery they refuse to solve. When strange lights appear over the farm one night, the youngest son Willie vanishes without a trace. The thing is, Willie's family has always considered him the odd one out, the strange one who never quite fit in with his more conventional siblings. So when the lights come and Willie goes, the family does what any reasonable folk would do: they call it an illusion and get on with their lives. But the neighbors remember the lights. And somewhere out there, Willie might finally be somewhere he belongs. This is dark, wry 1950s science fiction at its finest, mining laughs from denial, prejudice, and the very American urge to explain away anything that doesn't fit our understanding of normal. Bukstein writes with sharp affection for his ridiculous characters, skewering the self-serving logic of people who would rather believe their son ran off than admit something inexplicable took him.
