Heart
Heart is a mid-20th century science fiction short story by Henry Slesar that follows Fletcher Monk, an industrialist with a failing heart, who believes he can buy his way to health. The narrative explores themes of mortality, the limits of wealth, and human resilience against physical decline, set in a future where medical advancements and space colonization are possible.
