Further Foolishness

Further Foolishness, published in 1916 by Canadian author Stephen Leacock, is a collection of humorous sketches and satires that critique the absurdities of early 20th-century society during World War I. Leacock employs wit and social commentary to explore human follies and the ridiculousness of social norms through quirky characters and amusing anecdotes. The book opens with a preface reflecting on a childhood memory, setting the tone for the playful critiques of literature and contemporary media that follow, including exaggerated detective stories and parodies of modern narratives.
